In memory of
Iris Anna (Cohen) Wolff
ris was born on July 9, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland as the only child of Rona And Jerome Cohen. She graduated from Park Heights high school in 1958 and later married George Edward Wolff, Jr. on November 3, 1963.
As a wife, parent, grandparent and friend, Iris was an avid listener, providing an ear focused 100% on the conversation or issue at hand before offering any wisdom in return.
Iris always put family first when it came to giving attention, time and care. But, in addition, she valued a few true friendships, more like extended family, providing decades of support and camaraderie in good times and in challenging times.
She enjoyed “joy” and seeing others enjoying their time. Whether boating, beaching on the Chesapeake Bay, swimming in the pool, decorating for holidays, July 4th parties and fireworks, traveling and sightseeing, dining out or shopping. And, in the later years, Iris really enjoyed simplicity - talking and just sitting on the porch, looking at the flowers and having a cup of tea.
She is survived and will forever be in the loving memories of George, her husband of 60 years, daughters Vicki and Beth, sons-in-law, John (Jack) Long, Jr. and Robert Huesman, and grandsons John and George Long.
A celebration will be planned in the coming months in lieu of a funeral service. And, the kind request is made to provide donations (in lieu of flowers or other thoughts) in her memory to Bowleys Quarters Fire Department, for all of their support through the years.
