The Bowleys Quarters VFD decided to start a jr. firefighter program back in 1954. This consisted of only a few boys and girls. Over 50 years later, the Bowleys Quarters Jr. Fire Birgade has evolved tramendiously. The JFB is now consisted of over 15 active jr firefighters. We train learning skills that will better prepare us for our firefighting years. These trainings include auto wreck, ladders, first aid, and many many more. We also help out our active members at event such as the santa detail, shrimp feast, and parades. We have rankings of officers from Captian down the regular members. We have two great leaders who help along the way as well as help of firefighters to help us learn about the real life experience of firefighting.
